WANA (Nov 25) – The spokesperson for the Iranian government stated that Iran does not have conflicts with any country, emphasizing a balanced approach to all nations, with a focus on neighbors and Eastern countries as priorities.

Referring to the upcoming 100-day milestone of the 14th administration, the spokesperson noted, “The government began its work under challenging conditions. Just one day after the President’s inauguration, we witnessed the assassination of martyr Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, plunging us into a tense regional atmosphere. Naturally, a country’s policies are never detached from regional and international issues. Although the government has strived to ensure these disruptions do not affect its plans and goals, the reality is that such events inevitably have an impact.”

She continued, “When we witness the full-scale genocide in Gaza or the injury of Iran’s ambassador in Lebanon, it’s impossible to separate these events from one another. As a result, government decisions cannot remain unaffected by these issues.”

Mahajerani highlighted the regional visits of the Foreign Minister and the Speaker of Parliament, emphasizing that all of Iran’s efforts are aimed at establishing peace in the region. “We are pursuing a balanced regional policy while striving for effective relations with our neighbors,” she added.

She identified utilizing the potential of organizations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS as a key priority for the 14th administration. “This year, Iran officially participated in the BRICS summit. BRICS includes significant countries with vast economic opportunities. Major economic powers like China and India are members, and fostering positive interactions and meaningful economic exchanges with these nations, similar to our engagement with South Africa and Brazil, will facilitate broader economic relations and growth. It will also pave the way for private sector involvement and opportunities for traders and businesses in these markets.”

Referring to the President’s foreign trips in under 100 days, she explained, “These trips aim to enhance the government’s interactions with neighboring and global nations, reflecting a balanced foreign policy approach.”

She reiterated, “Iran is not in conflict with any country. Just as we negotiated with the P5+1 in the past and reached an agreement, it was the U.S. and the West who withdrew from the deal and failed to honor their commitments. Our approach is balanced towards all countries, though priority is given to neighbors and Eastern nations.”

Regarding the U.S. presidential elections and the formation of a new administration, Mahajerani stated, “This is an internal matter for the U.S., but we await practical actions, not words. We cannot judge based on rhetoric alone; actions must be the basis of our judgment. The government has prepared for all potential scenarios before the U.S. elections, whether positive or negative, just as we have negotiated and signed agreements in the past. Our international approach remains balanced, unless others choose otherwise. If they revert to previous rhetoric, they should know the futility of repeating past mistakes.”

The spokesperson emphasized, “The maximum pressure policy of the Trump administration failed, and Iran emerged with dignity. We hope the new U.S. administration adopts logical policies and refrains from warmongering or interfering in other countries’ affairs.”

Regarding European sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines, she said, “Europeans have never been our allies. Iran has always suffered from Western countries like the UK. The Iranian people will never forget the sorrowful events of August 19, 1953. Thus, we have been hurt by Europe, but we also know that these policies are dictated by the U.S., with Europe acting as an executor of their commands.”

Mahajerani underscored that these sanctions violate international conventions, adding, “The sanctions on Iran’s shipping industry are a blatant display of Western bullying. They think they can force a great nation into submission, but this will not happen. Such matters will be addressed diplomatically.”

She concluded, “We are a nation that has endured invasions time and again, yet we have stood tall. Every attack has ultimately been ‘Iranized,’ which reflects the enduring strength of Iranian civilization. Let us remember: many others have come and gone, but Iran remains—and it will continue to endure while others may fade away.”
